Kinski's Nosferatu Named to EW's Top 20 Vampires List

Imagine my surprise when I pulled the new Entertainment Weekly out of the mailbox this afternoon and flipped to their list of The 20 Greatest Vampires of All Time... and found the one and only Klaus Kinski coming in at a respectable #11 on the list! Not only that but Klaus gets a nice write-up that pats him on the back without some sort of snide remark about his on-set behavior or scandalous autobio.

According to the pop-watchers at EW K2's performance as Stoker's bloodthirsty count ranks below such icons as Christopher Lee's Hammer portrayals, Bela Lugosi, Gary Oldman and characters from something called TWILIGHT and TRUE BLOOD but ahead of Keifer Sutherland in LOST BOYS, Wesley Snipes' portrayal of Blade, and Caleb & Mae from red hot director Kathryn Bigelow's NEAR DARK.

Not bad company for ol' Klaus and maybe it'll turn some people on to what the mag calls "the most human rendering of Stoker's creation". Click the scan below to read the complete write-up...
