When I was a kid I got my first exposure to the work of HP Lovecraft thanks to Rod Serling's awesome 'Night Gallery.' Years later I'd read a bunch of Lovecraft's work and even find myself falling in love with a film based on one of his tales of madness and the macabre.But at no point during that time did I think I'd be able to decorate my Christmas tree with Cthulu-based ornaments.
