Snyder Considering a Return to the World of the Undead... Though It Sounds Awfully Familiar

I'm a big fan of Zack Snyder's DAWN OF THE DEAD: EXTRA CRISPY and I'm somewhat excited about a possible upcoming return to the zombie genre for him. Unfortunately the whole thing sounds – on the surface, at least – a bit too similar to the 28 DAYS LATER sequel (takes place in a quarantined area), RESIDENT EVIL 3 (set in post-plague Las Vegas), and RESIDENT EVIL 2 (professor's daughter needs to be rescued from plague zone). Not to mention the book THE RISING which is a sweeping tale whose main plot centers around a divorced father trying to make his way through a zombie infested world to rescue his son.
