Justic League Coming to the Big Screen?

Superman? Batman? Wonder Woman? According to Variety we could be seeing them all on the big screen – together – in the not-too-distant future. Thanks to recent animated adventures and a highly rated SMALLVILLE episode chronicling an early JLA adventure (sans Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, etc.) interest in the franchise is at an all-time high. And, if the cinematic success of D-List comic book character GHOST RIDER proves anything, it's that superhero adaptations are still hot.

Of course, we've heard talk like this before, as recently as a few years ago when Wolfgang Peterson was prepping a long-anticipated adaptation of World's Finest featuring a smackdown between Batman and Superman. Though that project stalled it did reignite interest in big screen versions for both characters, resulting in the superb BATMAN BEGINS and the ho-hum SUPERMAN RETURNS.

Hopefully, Warners can convince the current stars to come on board for such a project or else I don't see it getting off the ground. Otherwise, what's a Justice League movie without Bats and the Boy Scout?
