Aaron Spelling Dies... Along with a Part of My Adolescence

It would be impossible to overlook the impact that TV producer Aaron Spelling, who died Friday at age 83, had on my pop culture upbringing. Though probably best known for the hit show DYNASTY and his talentless offspring Tori, the man's credits during the 1970s, 80s and 90s read like a laundry list of TVs best high concept programs, not to mention my idea of a dream channel: BEVERLY HILLS 90210, MELROSE PLACE, LOVE BOAT, STARSKY & HUTCH, TJ HOOKER, MATT HOUSTON, HART TO HART, VEGA$, SAN PEDRO BEACH BUMS, BURKE'S LAW, SWAT, THE ROOKIES and FANTASY ISLAND not to mention countless TV movies like SATAN'S SCHOOL FOR GIRLS and THE BOY IN THE PLASTIC BUBBLE. Thanks Aaron!
