Surf's Up! Ilhiff to Write/Direct POINT BREAK 2

Be still my beating heart. For those of us who can recite the dialogue of the pop culture classic POINT BREAK like some people know passages from the Bible, this news treads that fine line between blasphemy and euphoria.

Channel News Asia (whatever) is reporting that original PB scripter Peter Ilhiff is currently writing a sequel, tentatively titled – duh – POINT BREAK 2 which he will also direct.

Naturally, Keanu Reeves plans to be too busy shooting another shitty movie with Sandra Bullock (has anybody else seen this LAKE HOUSE thing?) so you can scratch Johnny Utah but plans do call for Patrick Swayze to return to the role of adrenaline junkie and bank robbber Bodhi for the follow-up.
