BLACK FOREST 2 Nominated for Horror Guild Award

I'm happy to report that the team of Neil Vokes, Robert Tinnell and Todd Livingston has been nominated for an International Horror Guild Award for their work on the fun-packed monster mash, The Black Forest 2.

The sequel to their Rondo-award-winning epic about magic and monsters during World War I is nominated in the category of Illustrated Narrative along with The Dark Horse Book of the Dead, Scott Allie, ed.; Memories by Enki Bilal; The Plot: The Secret Story of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion by Will Eisner; and, Plucker by Brom. The Black Forest 2 has already won a Rondo Award.

Winners will be announced at the World Fantasy Convention in Austin, Texas, November 2-5, 2006.

Excellent! Books one and two would make a heck of a film. Hey Horrorwood, wake up! and smell the freshly turned earth!

Couldn't agree more... to me, Vokes/Tinnell/Livingston get everything right that VAN HELSIN got so very, very wrong.
