The new James Bond novel – Devil May Care – arrived in style today as the first copies were treated to an escort by Royal Navy helicopters and delivery by a cat-suited supermodel. To be honest I can't even remember the last Bond book I read, but I know it was one of the John Gardener efforts. Those books started off well enough but eventually degraded into predictable efforts that made some of the Roger Moore scripts seem like high art.
The new book is written by author Simon Faulks who says that this will be his one and only 007 effort.
