Remember the last of the 80s/90s wave of Batman flicks? I'm one of a minority who only seems to like Burton's second film, the dark, Nicholson-free BATMAN RETURNS. But even the worst moments of BATMAN and BATMAN FOREVER pale in comparison to the franchise-killing BATMAN & ROBIN with its horrible camp, silly costumes, and the nipples... ah, yes, who can forget the nipples?
Well, if BATMAN BEGINS was a much-needed reboot to the franchise, this trailer for THE DARK KNIGHT makes it look like Christopher Nolan and Co. are ready to take things to a new, explosive level.
As for Ledger's take on The Joker? I'll reserve judgment till I see the flick, but lets just say that I literally got chills the first time he does the laugh.
