It has been a long time coming but the newly revised Exploitation Retrospect website is now alive and kicking.
The biggest change has been a facelift to the look of the site with a newly-designed home page that features five new reviews each week. These reviews will be updated each Friday and I can't thank enough the site's incredible contributors who have spent the last few months filling up my hard drive with tons of new material.
This week's featured reviews are CREATURE FROM THE HILLBILLY LAGOON, GRINDHOUSE TRASH CLASSICS, BACTERIUM, THE RED QUEEN KILLS SEVEN TIMES, and VIDEO VIOLENCE.
In addition to the facelift you may notice that there's a new button at the top for a section called 'BOOK'. I'm pleased to announce that 2008 will see the publication of the first volume of material from ER, featuring both classic reviews from the long out-of-print zine which ran from 1986 to 2000 and material that will be all-new. Longtime ER contributors like Tom Crites, Louis Fowler, Doug Waltz and Mike Wood will be featured as well as some special, surprise contributors from the world of exploitation and horror film criticism and blogs.
We'll be unveiling more details as they're confirmed, so stay tuned to the website and this blog for more info as it becomes available.
Until then, I hope you enjoy the new look and the upcoming wave of new content. Please don't hesitate to post any comments about the site here at the blog or contact me at editor@dantenet.com.
